IL FARO means "The Lighthouse". We envisioned being just that: a beacon in the Albany neighborhood, a safe haven from the stresses of everyday life. Strength and serenity. Creating food that please all of the senses. We believe food should look beautiful, smell amazing and taste delicious. We know that dining out is more than just a meal; it's a great new glass of wine, a much needed break from work, a romantic evening with promise, a perfectly mixed mocktail, cocktail and a memorable meal that you will crave.

They met in Manhattan and quickly found they had more than just a few things in common. One of those was years of experience in the restaurant and bar business. With Christian growing up in kitchens and Jessica working in the front of the house from hostess, server, bartender to general manager of restaurants, bars and clubs for the past 27 years. They had a vision of a place to call their own, a place to build their lives interwoven with the community. With a passion for excellent customer service, sustainable fresh food, community ties, Artists, Musicians and family run businesses they found the perfect fit in the welcoming community of Menands. Still in New York for Brooklyn bred Christian and a smaller city for west coast and mid west raised Jessica. Christian is the Chef with Jessica running the front of the house. Any day you stop in you will see one if not both of them. Celebrating each year that we are lucky enough to serve you since 2015.
